Naturopaths
with a Swiss federal diploma

Naturopathy has a long tradition in Switzerland and is an important part of healthcare provision. The Swiss federal diploma ensures a consistent standard and high treatment quality.

A naturopath with a Swiss federal diploma is a healthcare professional who treats, advises and follows patients with health problems using a holistic alternative medicine approach.

Using the tools of their discipline, they identify and alleviate illness and support recovery. They work under their own responsibility, advising, accompanying and supporting people with acute and chronic health problems on the basis of alternative medicine treatment concepts.

They mainly work independently in their own or a shared practice, as employees in clinics, outpatient services, specialist and rehabilitation centres, or in company healthcare and prevention programmes.
